    1. Browse the web. Watch TV. Listen to the radio. Go to a museum or art gallery. Watch a movie. (It's going to be a long semester. Enjoy your leisure while you can.)
    2. Write a very brief essay discussing the place of the WWW in the context of other media, particularly do-it-yourself media such a fanzines, public access cable TV, grafitti, theater or other performance, etc. Feel free to consider anything in mainstream or fringe media such as television, art, print publishing. Compare and contrast the web with at least one other form of media.
    3. Meet with your group and polish your brief presentation of your in-class activity site.
