Wind shears plant!

One of the chiltepin plants snapped off about midway up the main stem. At first I was crushed, but then think maybe what’s left is bushy enough that it will still bear fruit. In any case I think I should step up the staking project.

Green babies survive intense thunderstorm.

The heatwave broke around 9pm last night with a massive torrent of rain and swirling winds. I was a bit worried that the plants would get torn up but they looked perfectly happy in the morning.
